xAPI Applied - Lessons Learned

As we know modern learners are looking for a personalized learning experience and do not always learn via formal learning exercises, such as courses. xAPI (aka Experience API or Tin Can) is a learning technology that supports the learner and the organization by collecting data about a wide range of experiences a person has (online and offline).

xAPI has been around for a while but not very many organizations have implemented it.

  • Revisit - What is xAPI?
  • Why xAPI is helpful in supporting the Modern Learner
  • Why SAS decided to use xAPI
  • How SAS is using xAPI
  • Lessons learned

Join us as Jim Farrell, Learning Director at SAS shares with us his experience in applying xAPI at SAS.
