Leveraging Competency Model to Improve Your Delivery (Competency: Training Delivery)
According to ATD the 2013 version of the competency model, “redefines the skills and knowledge required for talent development professionals to be successful now and in the future. It captures changes driven by digital, mobile, and social technology; demographic shifts; globalization; and economic forces."
While the areas of expertise represent the knowledge base and actions we employ to build a world that works better, the foundational competencies represent the "knowledge, skills, abilities, and behaviors that are required for job success in most professional occupations." In this session, we'll explore these foundational competencies in more depth, considering their importance to your success on the job and enabling you to determine areas of growth to strengthen your success position.

- Assess yourself relative to the ATD Competency Model foundational competencies.
- Develop a plan for improving your foundational competence.
- Apply the foundational competencies to improve your training effectiveness.
Guest presenter, Sharon Wingron, CPLP, and former ATD Board Member will share how we can use the foundational competencies to strengthen our delivery and our careers. Sharon will be presenting remotely via Zoom. Attendees can attend in person at Pfeiffer University or remotely (but you must register to get the Zoom link).
