Description

During this session we will discuss RTI International’s Emerging Technology Lab process of incorporating innovative technologies into training systems, simulations, and games. Project examples that utilize VR, AR, biometrics, photogrammetry, and AI will be shown and discussion around technology trends will follow.

About the Presenter

Dr. Lucas Blair is a Director of Technology Innovation and Head of the Emerging Technology Lab at RTI International. He received a M.S. in Instructional Technology from Bloomsburg University and a PhD in Modeling and Simulation from the University of Central Florida. His doctoral research explored the use of video game achievements to enhance player performance, self-efficacy, and motivation.

The Emerging Technologies Lab was created to be a resource for RTI International and its partners by maintaining a deep technical understanding of new technologies like Virtual Reality, Augmented Reality, Mixed Reality, Photogrammetry, AI, IoT, and wearable devices.
