    ATD Competency:

Personal: Emotional Intelligence & Decision Making, Project Management

    Professional: Learning Sciences, Evaluating Impact

Organizational: Business Insight, Talent Strategy & Management, Performance Improvement, Data & Analytics

Learning measurement involves a variety of factors from basic items like quality of design and delivery all the way to financial cost/benefit. In order to have a complete view on the key learning measurement elements one must start with a solid impact process map.

This webinar will present a complete impact process map designed by and for learning professionals. It will review not only basic measurement needs like quality of learning but differentiate between a business outcome (ex. sales) and a talent outcome (ex. culture) and offer clear and simple methods to collect and report on these measurement items.

Learning Evaluation Certification: Connecting Learning Programs to Business Results

Join and be entered into a drawing for a FREE ATD Certificate Program!
    (Must be present to win.)

    ATD Capabilities:

    Personal: Lifelong Learning

Professional: Instructional Design, Training Delivery & Facilitation, Evaluating Impact

    Organizational: Talent Strategy & Management

One of the biggest challenges for learning professionals is showing how their learning programs contribute to business success. The Learning Evaluation Certification provides learning professionals with the knowledge and ability to make clear connections between their training design, behavior outcomes, and business results.

Quantifying learning outputs and measuring how learning leads to business outcomes is effectively being used in organizations today. This certification provides the latest methods being used by companies in a variety of industries such as healthcare, pharmaceutical, financial, manufacturing, and hospitality.

Identifying how learning programs transfer into changes in business performance and organizational metrics is a new skill requirement for trainers. The Learning Evaluation Certification is a one-day program that prepares learning professionals to design programs that can be measured, measure programs so they can be evaluated, and evaluate programs to show business outcomes.

It provides clarity on how to define the behavior results from training, measure the behavior, and connect behavior changes to the associated metric. This certification prepares you to identify points of failure, understand accountability for failure, and define the means to repair failure as learning progresses from the classroom, to the job, and ultimately to organizational results.

The Learning Evaluation Certification is a component of the ROI by Design program and provides you with an easy-to-follow chain of evidence linking training programs to business outcomes.

Participants will walk away with a complete picture of how to show learning impact. You will learn the simple steps necessary to create the impact chain of evidence including what type of data to collect, when/how the data is collected, interpretation of the data, and how to communicate the results to stakeholders.

    Learning objectives for this event:

    • To learn how standardized learning design enables the ability to measure learning outcomes and show how programs impact the learner, the job, and the organization.
    • To realize when to measure learning, what to measure and how to interpret results from learning measurement.
    • To understand how a measurement methodology highlights accountability for learning success across the organization and creates learning organizations.
    • To witness learning measurement data currently being generated and used for data driven decision making in organizations.

    About the Presenter:

Laura Paramoure, EdD, has 25 years of experience in performance improvement, training design, and evaluation. She is the author of ROI by Design™ (2014) and a featured speaker on the topic of return on investment for training organizations such as Association of Talent Development (ATD). Her private sector experience includes Director of Training and Development with Parata systems where she was responsible for the establishment and deployment of both domestic and international training. She is currently the CEO of eParamus, a company which helps organizations of all types and sizes optimize and verify the impact of their training programs.

    Developing a Global Mindset

Due to continued risks from COVID-19, this program is now virtual.

    ATD Capabilities:

Personal: Communication, Emotional Intelligence & Decision Making, Collaboration & Leadership, Cultural Awareness & Inclusion, Lifelong Learning

Organizational: Consulting & Business Partnering, Organization Development & Culture, Change Management

It's never been easier to talk to anyone, anywhere in the world today, even though traveling has practically come to a standstill. It's also highly more likely that companies may want to experiment with leveraging the international employment pool to have 24/7 remote production. So, how does the company export its culture to remote members. How does T&D know which cultural lines need to be changed and which ones are sacred? In this session, we'll take you on an international journey to help you start developing a global mindset.

Your organization has been multi-cultural for a while now, we just may not realize it as in depth as we need to. There is a big difference between knowing the difference between ethnic culture and business culture. Whether your cultural quilt is all home grown, it has been cross pollinated from M&A, or expanded by entering new markets, it's critical to export your business culture while promoting and celebrating international customs and practices.

In this session Jerel Bonner, a TEDx speaker and international coach with 14 years of T&D experience in China, will introduce you to:

    • Mixed cultures in RTP
    • Fundamental building blocks of culture
    • Combining Cultures

Jerel Bonner, Managing Partner at Corralling Chaos

Jerel Bonner is the author of “Sharpening China’s Talent” and a TEDx speaker. He is a ‘human behavior awareness’ consultant, advising and coaching senior level executives. Jerel has a keen eye for observing human behavior patterns, and a solid foundation of how those actions impress those they are working with. He helps others confront reality, so that they can learn how to reach their full potential. Jerel has over 1500 hours of coaching experience, built on the foundational conviction that relationship and expertise power are more effective than role power. Prior to starting Corralling Chaos, he was an executive coach supporting multinational corporations in China for 14 years. Jerel has also delivered lectures to the Fundan University MBA program, the JiaoTong University’s MBA-C program, and has made business presentations to audiences around the world.
