Description

Many organizations have added diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) roles to their teams to influence organizational change.  Join us with seasoned DEI manager, Karen Koukou-Twaglee, as she shares her experience with how diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) has evolved since stepping into her role in 2019.

In May of 2020 amidst the global pandemic when organizations were learning to work in the remote model, the murder of George Perry Floyd, Jr brought about an awareness of the systematic changes that need to be addressed. Learning and development teams are often entrusted with the newer priority to foster cultural development shifts and provide DEI training. Karen Koukou-Twaglee will discuss strategies that have aided in generating awareness and scaling training for topics such as unconscious bias and conscious inclusion in the distributed workplace model.

In addition, Koukou-Twaglee will address the future of work and preparing to have a continued impact in DEI as organizations begin their shifts to a hybrid work model.
