Change Management for Talent Development Professionals  

ATD Competency: Change Management

Organizational Change Management is a term that is now used religiously within large corporations. I often wonder - do our executives or my colleagues truly understand what this means? It has taken quite some time for me to adequately explain and show our value to the organization, but each year the revelation of change management and its benefits becomes clearer. During my tenure, I have managed to take what was once seen as a touchy-feely, non-revenue generating function to a clearly definable, tangible, and measurable function within an IT organization. At its most core definition, Organizational Change Management embodies the reward an employee and the organization can gain by ensuring all are prepared for the impending change.

Please come join, Damien Bridges, IT Manager of Organizational Change Management, as he outlines a recent European implementation of SAP and the infusion of Change Management principles. We’ll look at Leadership and Stakeholder engagement, key messaging and the metrics surrounding them, and most importantly creative communication.
