The majority of leader and employee development focuses on one primary form of development: horizontal development. While horizontal development can be helpful, it is limited in its ability to help leaders and employees more effectively navigate the increasing change, pressure, uncertainty, and complexity that they are facing. Because of challenging and uncertain conditions leaders and employees are increasingly having to face, what is needed now, more than ever, is vertical development. In this session, Ryan Gottfredson, Ph.D. will introduce what vertical development is and provide the key to facilitating vertical development for yourself, your leaders, your employees, or your clients.
