Session Description:
In today's dynamic L&D landscape, emotional intelligence (EQ) is no longer a "nice-to-have," but a critical skill for success. This workshop will equip L&D professionals with practical strategies to enhance their EQ, leading to more impactful training, stronger relationships, and greater resilience. Through interactive exercises, real-world scenarios, and reflective activities, participants will learn to cultivate self-awareness, self-regulation, empathy, and social skills, directly addressing the challenges of virtual delivery, rapid skill changes, and personalized learning.
Attendees will learn:
- Identify key components of Emotional Intelligence (EI) relevant to L&D.
- Understand how EI impacts L&D effectiveness.
- Develop practical strategies to enhance self-awareness, self-regulation, empathy, and social skills.
- Apply EI principles to common L&D challenges.

About Heidi:
I spent nearly two decades leading learning teams in large, global tech companies. I was an overloaded leader, mother, and wife who gave everything I had to everyone except myself, with little in return. I was chronically exhausted, with a long list of health issues that took my smile and took me away from the things that mattered most. So, I changed my life, starting with prioritizing my health, setting boundaries, and healing all the things that were holding me back from reaching my potential.
Today, I wake up excited for the day, my health is better than ever and my smile is firmly planted on my face. My mission now is to help driven professionals and leaders going through the same thing to have the courage to choose themselves and reclaim their health, purpose, and passion for life, so my story doesn't become theirs.
