Don't Confuse Your Value For Your Activity, or Why L&D teams must be Relentlessly Curious and Deeply Engaged (Virtual)

Description:

AI is coming for your To Do list. If it can be automated, it will be. How do you lean in to create value in ways that AI can't? There are two skills that anyone working in L&D needs to have - curiosity and engagement. Let's talk through the forces in this rapidly changing time and how to not just survive but thrive.

Presenter: Mark Oehlert

About Mark:

I’ve spent my career at the intersection of innovation, culture, and learning—turning insights into action and keeping the customer at the center of everything I do. Most recently, I worked at a medical device startup developing the next generation of insulin pumps. I led the design and development of digital learning experiences for people with diabetes, working to make content meaningful and accessible across a wide range of ages, economic backgrounds, and tech comfort levels.

Before that, I worked in places as different as the Pentagon—where I helped shape the Department of Defense-wide training strategy—and Amazon, where I led enterprise learning programs and managed innovation initiatives across the company. I’m a trained anthropologist and historian who’s spent over 20 years in tech and learning. I’m a relentless researcher, a big believer
